A somewhat limited contingent of Troop 208 participated in the Occonneecee Council Camporee at Camp Reeves and Camp Durant, October 3, 4 and 5, 1997. The theme of this camporee was backpacking.

Troop 208 entered Camp Durant and camped overnight Friday near site 9.

First thing in the morning, we broke camp, and packed up all we had, and hiked to Camp Reeves. Along the way, we participated in a number of events.

On the activity field of Camp Durant Donovan Cozzens and Parker Harrison Donovan Cozzens and Parker Harrison participated in the First Aid exercise. I think Parker was the victim...er...patient. Explorer Leader Mr. Stalker ran this exercise at Camp Durant.

We left Camp Durant and along the trail we faced the knot-tying exercise. Knot Tying Most of the troop is in this photo helping out. From the left, Chris Couture, John Couture, Elliote Chandler, Parker Harrison, Adam Johnson, Donovan Cozzens, Kyle Ryan and few others whose faces are hidden.

Not far down the trail from the knots, we see Troop 208 hiking across the Lake Reeves dam. Troop 208 Hiking Across the Lake Reeves Dam

After lunch at the Camp Reeves activity field, the troop participated in the barrel roll.
