Troop 208 participated in the Cary Town Center Mall Scouting Expo on Saturday, March 6, 1999. The Troop 208 display had three parts. Here Aditya Devalapalli is assisting a visitor with the construction of a neckerchief slide. Later, Chris Badders  and David Wormald displayed the proper techniques for a Cub Scout and Jonathan Sands also assisted.

The second part of the display was the "Rain Gutter Regatta" Contestants competed against one another by propelling a sailboat through a rain gutter.

Part three of the exhibit was a canoe handling demonstration. Visitors were invited into a troop canoe, but only when they followed the proper scout procedures. Here Kyle Ryan and Ben Hanley demonstrate the proper paddling strokes. Both scouts have earned the canoeing merit badge. J.D. Dove and Taylor Bussey helped a couple of Cub Scouts into their PFDs.
Later, they "rescue" drowning scout Chris Badders using the rescue rope as Mr. Gramley looks on.

At the end of the day, the troop stands at attention as they are awarded 1st Place!
