Prior
to the Picnic, Assistant Scoutmaster Tom Link helped several scouts complete
the Space Exploration Merit Badge. With the five-pad launcher in place,
the scouts test the setup by launching one of Mr. Link's rockets.
Scout
John Macadaragh is the launch control officer for a launch, which took
place at the West Lake schools athletic fields.
Later
at the picnic. Scoutmaster Mr. Whitcher announces the Patrol Leaders and
Senior Patrol for the upcoming semester.
The
scouts and their families listen attentively to the presentations to the
adult leaders. We enjoyed the serene shade of the trees at the Badders
home.
