Troop 208 journeyed to Camp Campbell, on the shore of Kerr Lake in Virginia March 23,20 and 21 of 2001. Our theme was cycling. Originally we intended to cycle the Virginia Creeper Trail, but March is a bad month for cycling the trail. At the last minute we rescheduled to Camp Campbell.
On Saturday morning all the scouts are busy preparing breakfast. For many scouts, this is their first camping trip with Troop 208.
At about 10am we are ready to depart. Everyone has a helmet and they are ready to take on the local terrain, which is rather mild. We cycled about 10 miles, of which about 1/3 was off-road.
Saturday evening, the scouts gather around the campfire for skits.
